Daniel Alfaro - Horticulturist
daniel@boomanfloral.com

Booman Floral - Daniel AlfaroFull of great ideas, Mr. Alfaro joined Booman Floral as our Horticultural Advisor in October 1999.

Our unique product line places pressure on Alfaro to develop cultural protocols to make our customers successful. Alfaro spends considerable time answering growers’ questions, and providing Horticultural information for magazines, the internet, and internal publications. As Horticulturist, Alfaro also helps coordinate our New Introduction program.

Alfaro is well equipped to handle the challenges with working with our company and its international interests. He graduated with high honors from Monterrey Tech Campus in Queretaro, Mexico with a Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture in 1999 (Ingeniero Agronomo en Produccion), and co-edited the Ag department's magazine Ceres while there. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and speaks some French as well.

An adventurer, he left the safety net of family business in trade and agriculture to expand his international experience and training in Horticulture at Texas A&M, and at University of Guelph, in Ontario, Canada.

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich invited Alfaro to participate in their Plant Science internship program in 1999. His research focused on the impact of sustainable tillage systems on crop growth.

Mr. Alfaro brings a unique mix of practical business experience and international savvy to the Booman Companies.
